An Arrest Is Not a Conviction

Sealing, expungement, and later amendments can also make an older copy misleading. Verify the current disposition with the Shelby County Circuit Clerk, the originating police agency, the Sheriff, or Illinois State Police.
Treat every record you find as a starting point, not a verdict. Only the originating agency can confirm what a record currently says and whether it is still releasable.
