A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
This site does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It provides general directions to Shelby County custodians, the Circuit Clerk, the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, and the Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules apply to information entered there, and we do not control those choices. Read the provider's policy before sending a query.

Links may lead to courts, sheriff pages, state agencies, legal resources, or outside tools. Once you leave this website, the destination's privacy policy controls. Review it before sharing personal information.
Advertising companies may also track activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs on their systems.
